About me
Hi, I’m Shemma La Rosa, the founder of Shemma Rose Events. I’ve always been a creative, type-A personality, so it’s no surprise that I found my passion in event planning. I studied communications and filmmaking in college, but I quickly realized that event planning was my true calling. Since 2018, I’ve had the privilege of planning all kinds of events—festivals, conferences, dance competitions, and more. Now, I’m thrilled to bring my expertise to the world of weddings, helping couples create the day they’ve always dreamed of.
For me, events are about much more than logistics and décor—they’re about connection. I’m proud of my multicultural background, and as a Latina with Spanish as my first language, I believe in creating experiences that bring people closer, no matter who they are or where they come from. Whether you’re planning a wedding, corporate event, or social gathering, I’m here to ensure your vision is realized and your event feels truly you.
My goal is simple: to take the stress out of the planning process so you can enjoy every moment leading up to your event. I want you to feel comfortable and confident, like we’ve known each other for years. I’ll be with you every step of the way, offering personalized guidance and support, making sure every detail is in place, and bringing your vision to life.
I’m based in Columbus, Ohio, but I’m proud to serve all of Ohio and surrounding states. When I’m not planning events, you’ll find me curled up with a good book, enjoying time with my family, or sharing life with my college sweetheart and our adorable 9-year-old cat, Luna.
